Ranik Solusar was a Jedi Knight towards the end of the Old Rebpulic, during the time of the Jedi Purge. Fathering a son, Kam Solusar, Ranik taught his son in the ways of the Force. However, Ranik was only able to teach his son rudimentary Force techniques before he was hunted down and murdered by Darth Vader. Although Ranik became one with the Force, Kam went on to become a Jedi Knight, although only after having fought his own personal battles.
